Over the last decade Dublin has become synonymous with fashion, style and an exciting cocktail of retail options: from designer and high street to vintage – making it an alluring shopping destination. This event aims to put the fun and theatre back into shopping. Bringing fashion and beauty retailers in the Grafton Street and Henry Street area together, it will offer a heady mix of special offers, live fashion events and in-store activities that is sure to be unmissable. The festival includes a series of events as well as serious fashion, food and fun friendly discounts. Some highlights include:
Outdoor catwalks on Friday, Saturday and Sunday on Henry Street beginning at 1:30 pm and Grafton Street beginning at 2:30 pm (additional times can be found on the Fashion Festival website).
Fashion headquarters at the old Habitat building on College Green (near Trinity college) which will play host to a fashion exhibition by Griffith College fashion graduates, make-up master classes and a pop-up vintage store run by children’s charity Barnardos.
Model Flash Mob: 12:00 pm Friday October 1st: Stephen’s Green and Henry Street.
Fashion Cafes: The Church Bar and Restaurant on Mary Street and The Market Bar and Restaurant on Fade Street are the official “Fashion Cafes” for the Dublin Fashion Festival 2010. Nail technicians and make-up artists will be available for style and beauty tips.
