Whelans is a Dublin institution. The hottest live music venue for up and coming Irish artists–all the greats have played here. Once you arrive take a gander around the place to see forty years of phenomenal rock history on the walls.  DO NOT LEAVE IRELAND WITHOUT GOING TO A GIG IN WHELANS.  Take The Money And Run are an exciting new name from Dundalk and Dublin, already starting to make a splash nationally following the recent release of their debut EP, “Loud. Pretty. Sad.” The female fronted quintet specialise in allowing sparkling melodic song writing to shine through walls of unclassifiable, truly alternative sound with one of Ireland’s most breathtaking and distinctive voices. Intense, emotive, and exhilaratingly original, dubbed as ones to watch this year by both State Magazine and The Irish Independent, Take the Money and Run will be hard to miss in 2010.
