Are you one of the 60 million persons around the world that claim Irish heritage? Prove it! Trace your ancestors this weekend at the Back To Our Past Genealogy and Family/Social History Experience. This is Ireland’s first national genealogy and family/social history event, featuring numerous bodies and companies specialising in genealogy and family history from all over Ireland and beyond. This is the first time so many specialists and experts have been assembled in one place. Whatever you are looking for, you will find here: parish registers, census returns, military records, maps, records of baptisms, marriages and funerals, archival products, family tree makers and software, photo restorers, complete publications of books and records from the early 1700s, land registers, information on surnames, leading genealogy websites, and much, much more! Exhibitors include The National Library, The National Archives, the Public Records Office of Northern Ireland, Trinity College, the leading genealogy website FindMyPast.com, plus publications such as Irish Roots and History Ireland. Apart from the exhibitors, there will be an extensive programme of presentations by experts in all areas of genealogy and family and social history. Normal admission is €10 but if you email your request, you will receive a discount voucher offering admission for €5. Five Euro to discover hidden truths about your family? Sounds like a deal to me!
