This Halloween, the National Leprechaun Museum will be putting on nightly interactive performances that draw on Ireland’s haunting mythological stories from the ancient festival of Samhain. These are the tales that have inspired a world-wide obsession with Halloween frights and the paranormal. In ancient Ireland, Samhain was the beginning of the new year, a time when the veil between our world and the otherworld of the sí (Irish fairies or spirits), was believed to have been at its thinnest. It was thought to have been a time of reckoning when debts were settled and the spirits moved among the living. Each tour lasts approximately one hour and is followed by games and chilling stories. The event is suitable for adults only! Performances on October 30th and 31st include post-show sessions with paranormal experts, and nerve-settling refreshments will be provided on all 10 dates.
