From November 18th why not get out into the streets to witness Dublin’s busiest thoroughfares as they are transformed with festive light and colour. The switching on of the Christmas lights will be accompanied by entertainment including some undisclosed celebrity appearances, choristers and the unveiling of the Brown Thomas Christmas window display—always one to get Dubliner’s talking.
Friday 18th November at 5 p.m.: the spectacular Grafton Street lights will be switched on outside Brown Thomas at 5pm to coincide with Brown Thomas launching their own festive window display with the aid of Michael Buble who will be in the city to promote his new album!
Friday 18th November at 6 p.m.: Head over to South William Street to see the newest edition to Dublin City BID’s Christmas street lighting! Gather round the steps of Powerscourt Townhouse Centre to watch the magic unveil! Why not extend your stay in the many great bars and restaurants the area has to offer!
Saturday 19th November at 4:30 p.m.: the spectacular Christmas tree and street lights on South Great George’s street will become light with festive colour! Extra Christmas spirit will be brought to you by a choir at the occasion to make the evening magical!
Sunday 27th November: The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Andrew Montague, will be switching on the O’Connell Street Christmas tree lights with entertainment for all the family!
