Although Dublin is a bustling city in the after-work hours, it is nevertheless difficult to find a good café open after 8pm. Pubs are still centres of socializing and we haven’t yet fully subscribed to the café culture of the continent. This makes things difficult for those looking for a relaxed way to socialize that doesn’t involve alcohol or for people simply wishing to enjoy a change of scenery from the home. A late-night café in Dublin was well overdue. Accents is all about relaxation; in fact, it feels a lot like a living room with its comfortable sofas and bookshelves full of reading material. The café serves ethically sourced teas and coffees as well as indulgent desserts. In addition, Accents frequently hosts some very reasonably priced theatre events and comedy evenings. The opening hours are inviting to say the least with the café remaining open until 11pm from Monday to Saturday and 10pm on Sunday. It also helps that the swing sign out front resembles a giant bar of dairymilk!
